1. Last Day of School: You may see a lot of smiling kids today. That’s because today is the official last day of school for Montgomery County Public Schools students and it’s an early release day. Happy Summer!

2. President’s Briefing: Montgomery County Council President George Leventhal meets with reporters today to discuss key items facing the Council in the future. Follow @MyMCMedia on Twitter for updates from the meeting.

3. Gazette Folds: The Gazette newspaper has announced it will publish its final editions this week after serving the community for more than 55 years.

4. It’s a Scam: Montgomery County officials are warning homeowners not to be fooled by a deceptive letter.

5.Baseball Champions: Tonight, Gaithersburg city leaders will honor the Gaithersburg High School baseball team for winning the state’s 4A championship.
