1.  Summer of Safety: It’s going to be a hot one today, and county officials are reminding residents of the importance of staying hydrated if you are playing or working outdoors.

2. Climb-a-Tree: Bring the kids to Wall Park in Rockville where local arborists will help them scale new heights in a giant tree. This fun event takes place from 9 a.m. to noon, and it’s free.

3. Street Beat: Maryland State Highway Administration crews are expected to begin work on a road project on University Boulevard tonight in Silver Spring, and motorists are advised to prepare for detours.

4. Gaithersburg Plans: The Gaithersburg Planning Commission meets tonight and on the agenda is an addition to the Emergent Biosolutions building, new signs for The Gateway Apartments at Clopper Road, the annual Planning Report and the 2017 schools APFO memo.

5. Summer Concert: Enjoy the sounds of Tuelo tonight beginning at 7 p.m. at Strathmore. This outdoor summer concert is free.
