1. Are you ready for the Olympics? Beginning today, you can wish two local Olympic swimmers, Jack Conger and Katie Ledecky, good luck by signing two giant flip flops at the Rockville Town Square. #MoCo2Rio

2. Speaking of feats, a man and his goat are walking across America and this week they were spotted in Montgomery County. Watch our interview, here.

3. The future of Montgomery County is something Rockville resident Gerald Cichy is thinking about. Cichy was sworn in as the newest Montgomery County planning board member on Thursday. Today, Casey Anderson, the chair of the Planning Board, will lead a bike tour of  several planning areas, including White Flint 2, Rock Spring and Grovesnor-Strathmore.

4. Beginning next week, commuting on the Metro in Montgomery County is going to be more challenging as Safe Track repairs begin on the Red Line. Local leaders are encouraging residents to telework or bike to work if they can. Watch our report, here.
