1. Comptroller Visits MoCo: Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot is scheduled to visit businesses in Gaithersburg and Silver Spring today. Follow @MyMCMedia on Twitter for updates.

2. Metro Forum in Rockville: The County Council’s Transportation, Infrastructure, Energy and Environment (T and E) Committee will host a forum from 6 – 9 p.m. tonight to discuss the current challenges facing the Metrorail system in Montgomery County.

3. Flags at Half Staff: The United States Flag and Maryland State Flag will be flown at half staff from now until July 25th in honor of the five fallen Marines in Tennessee.

4. Speed Cameras: The city Rockville has unveiled a new speed camera monitoring system in the 500 block of N. Horners Lane.

5. The Rope Warrior: Be prepared to be amazed! Guinness World Record breaker and Ripley’s Believe it or Not!’s “World’s Greatest Rope Jumper” David Fisher will visit the Damascus Library at 1:30 p.m. today.
