1. Drive for Supplies: Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Drive for Supplies program will provide free school supplies to families today from noon to 5 p.m. at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville.
2. Street Beat: A road resurfacing project begins this week on East West Highway in Silver Spring.
3. President’s Briefing: Montgomery County Council President George Leventhal meets with reporters today. Follow @MyMCMedia on Twitter for updates from the briefing. Leventhal is expected to address the recommended Fiscal Year 2016 budget savings plan that the county executive transmitted to the Council last week.
4. Ethics Code: Gaithersburg city leaders are scheduled to hold a public hearing tonight to discuss changes to the city’s Ethics Code.
5. Nominations Wanted: Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is seeking nominations for the Excellence in the Arts and Humanities Awards. The deadline to nominate an individual or organization for these awards is July 31st.
