1. Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is set to hold his first of five budget forums tonight at the BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown.

2. Also tonight, Gaithersburg leaders plan to recognize a local woman who launched an incredibly successful GoFundMe account for the Gemmell family after a fatal plane crash on Dec. 8.

3. Wintry weather is expected this week and Montgomery County leaders are holding a news conference today to discuss the importance of safe sidewalks following a snowfall or ice event.

4. The Montgomery County Public Libraries system is in recovery mode following a server outage shortly before the holidays.

5. Montgomery County’s Division of Solid Waste Services is posting updates on its website about the impact of the Unity Disposal and Recycling, LLC workers strike on trash and recycling collection in the county.
