1. Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett has announced that he’s vetoing the $15 minimum wage legislation, that was approved by the County Council last week by a 5-4 vote.
2. County Council members are scheduled to interview Robert Dorfman at 10 a.m. about leading the Department of Liquor Control (DLC). Dorfman was chosen by Leggett to fill the director’s position. Find out what else is on the Council’s agenda today, here.
3. Looking for something fun to do with the kids? Bring them to Storytime at the Station at the Community Museum in Gaithersburg at 11 a.m. today.
4. In Silver Spring tonight, learn more about the Ag Reserve at the planning department’s Winter Speaker Series . The free presentation takes place from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at the Department of Planning headquarters.
