1. The Montgomery County Council’s Public Safety Committee will be discussing a bill today that would ban the sale of cats and dogs at retail pet stores in the county. A public hearing was held on the bill just last week.

2. WSSC officials are warning customers about a scam targeting residents in our area.

3. Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Joshua Starr announced earlier this week that he will be resigning on Feb. 16. Find out what county officials are saying about the news here.

4. In honor of Black History Month, there is a new exhibit, “Making a Difference: African American Women and the Civil Rights Movement” on display at the Germantown Library.
