4. The Silver Spring Civic Center will be hosting its Film and Lecture series featuring Archaeologist and Historian Cheryl LaRoche. LaRoche will discuss free black communities and their work on the Underground Railroad.

5. Bethesda Library will be hosting “New York Times” bestselling authors Veronica Rossi, Kami Garcia, and Susan Dennard for a discussion and book signing tonight at 7 p.m.
