1. Snow Day: Montgomery County Public Schools are closed today and so are most local government offices and courts.

2. A snow emergency plan has been issued for Montgomery County and police are urging residents to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.

3. Twenty pigs died in a barn fire on Sunday.

4. A house fire on Monday displaced five residents.

5. Two Montgomery County Councilmembers support lowering the voter age to allow 16 and 17-year-olds the right to vote.
