2. Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and Baltimore Mayor-elect Catherine Pugh are the featured speakers at the Committee for Montgomery’s annual legislative breakfast in Bethesda. The event starts at 7 a.m.

3. Today is the last day of Rockville’s Holiday Toy Drive.  Drop off new, unwrapped toys, books, or gift cards at 11 locations around the city by 5 p.m.

4. Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot urges residents to shop local during the holidays. His schedule today includes a visit to the Takoma Park-Silver Spring Food Co-Op.

5. Long Branch Library continues its “Star Wars” marathon with “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens” tonight at 7:45 p.m
