Drivers to use one lane to turn left, right or continue straight through the intersection during the day. The right turn lane will reopen no later than 4 p.m. each weekday. State Highway Administration official said construction should be complete by late fall.

2. Civic Building Anniversary: The Silver Spring Civic Building is turning five, and to celebrate county officials are inviting the community to share stories, pictures, and arts at a special ceremony today at 6 p.m.

3. Montgomery County Introduces Online Pet Licensing: The service hopes to increase pet owner’s compliance with Montgomery County law that requires a license to all dogs and cats that are four months or older.

4. Free Concert: Enjoy an evening of music starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Bumper Car Pavilion at the Glen Echo Park. Trio Caliente blends flamenco, pop, and Brazilian Jazz.

5. Bethesda’s own Katie Ledecky undefeated in the FINA Swimming World Championship.
