2. National Night Out Against Crime: Law enforcement officials invite the community to participate at the annual National Night Out, held each year on the first Tuesday of August. This event is designed to generate neighborhood support and participation in crime prevention efforts.

4. No Smoking and New Dog Rules for Gaithersburg Parks: Smoking is now prohibited within a 25 foot radius of playgrounds, and the dog exercise area at Green Park will only be available to city residents with licensed dogs.
