Here’s your daily rundown for what’s happening today, Sept. 14, in Montgomery County, Maryland:
1. Planning: The Montgomery County Planning Board meets. Up for discussion is a preliminary plan for a Jiffy Lube in Olney, a list of school and transportation priorities and the consolidation of lots at the Cabin John Shopping Center.
2. Legal: The Montgomery County Mental Health Court will draw county leaders to a 12:30 p.m. news conference in the Third Floor Council Conference Room at the Council Office Building.
3. Coffee: Commission for Women members will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Panera Bread, 219 E. Middle Lane, Rockville, for “coffee with a commissioner.”
4. Yoga: The Casey Health Institute helps you create a home yoga practice at 10 a.m. at the institute 800 S. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg. Cost: $25.
5. Hurricane Relief: Talented teens are teaming up with Strathmore and Montgomery Recreation to put on Rock-n-Relief, a concert to benefit hurricane relief efforts. The concert is Sept. 17.
