2. Pumpkin Panache Family Festival: From 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Brookside Gardens, children can dress in their favorite costume, participate in a costume parade, paint a pumpkin, try a pumpkin treat and hear storyteller Gary Lloyd. Ages 3 to 13. Cost: $18. Parents, free.
3. Halloween Happening: The annual event takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Marilyn J. Praisner Community Recreation Center in Burtonsville.
