Five Things to Know for Nov. 14 in Montgomery County

Here’s five things to know today, Nov. 14, in Montgomery County:

1. Council Meeting: The Montgomery County Council will join staff from the Office of Legislative Oversight to discuss their report on the impact of infant and toddler childcare programs.

2. Transportation Management: The Friendship Heights Transportation Management District Advisory Committee will be held at the Wisconsin Community Center in Chevy Chase. Traffic congestion; air and noise pollution; and pedestrian/bicycle safety will be discussed during the meeting.

3. School Year Calendar: The Montgomery County Board of Education is expected to vote on the 2018-2019 School Year calendar proposed by the superintendent.

4. County Council District 1 Candidates Forum: A Montgomery County Council District 1 Candidates Forum will be held at Somerset Elementary School at 7:30pm. Somerset is cosponsoring this forum with Chevy Chase West.

5. Meet the Locals: Join the Montgomery County Food Council and Dawson’s Market for a special event that showcases the diverse food and beverages produced in local farms, kitchens, and businesses.
