1. Democratic Gubernatorial Candidates Forum: The Woman’s Democratic Club of Montgomery County (WDC) is hosting a forum today for Democratic Gubernatorial Candidates in the June 26 primary. The forum will begin at 7 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Center, 1 Veterans Place in Silver Spring. Register to attend by clicking here.
2. U.S. Gold Medalist Honored: Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett is expected to join the Montgomery County Council to congratulate Haley Skarupa, a member of the U.S. Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team, for winning an Olympic gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, at the council’s regular scheduled session today.
3.Equity Policy: Speaking of the council, county leaders are also expected to vote on a resolution to develop an equity policy framework for County government.
4. Lifeguards Still Needed: Montgomery Recreation is still hiring for lifeguards this summer. More information here.
