Friday’s rundown of five things to know today in Montgomery County:

1. Community Coffee: Takoma Park City Councilmembers Talisha Searcy who represents Ward 6 and Cindy Dyballa who represents Ward 2 will meet with community members over coffee today at La Chiquita from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

2. MLK Indoor Swim Center: The MLK Indoor Swim Center pool will close today at 2 p.m. and remain closed through Sunday to host the Rockville-Montgomery Swim Club February Invitational.

3. Weekend Fun: Here are suggested arts and entertainment activities in our Weekend Planner for Friday, February 23, to Sunday, February 25.

4. Used Car and Computer Sale: Students from the Montgomery County Public Schools Automotive Trades and Information Technology programs will hold a sale from 9 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 24 at Damascus High School, 25921 Ridge Road.

5. Tour the Selma-Montgomery National Historic Trail: The Maggie Nightingale Library staff will lead a virtual trip along the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail using the Google Expedition Kit, followed by screening of the movie Selma from 3 to 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 24 at the Maggie Nightingale Library in Damascus.
