Expect some clouds and highs in the low 70s today. You might even call it spring. While you’re enjoying the pleasant weather, here are five things to know for Monday, May 7, in Montgomery County:

1. Budget Work: The Montgomery County Council has a session at 9:30 a.m. and one of the main agenda items is taking action on the reconciliation list of cuts and additions to the fiscal 2019 budget. You can find the list here.

2. Hospice Volunteers: The Jewish Social Service Agency holds training for hospice volunteers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 200 Wood Road, Rockville. For more information, see this Facebook post.

3. Active Aging: Gaithersburg holds its 10th annual Active Aging Expo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activity Center at Bohrer Park. Find more information here.

4. Book Face: Montgomery County Public Libraries has started a #BookFace project, asking patrons to pick a book with a face on its cover, then snapping a photo and posting it on social media.
