2. The Washington Capitals: The Capitals will battle the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 3 of the National Hockey League’s Conference Finals at Capital One Arena today.   The Capitals are leading in the series 2-0.

3. Metro Extending Late-Night Service for Capitals Fans: Fans attending tonight’s Capitals game will have more time to ride the metrorail home. WMATA officials announced the trains will run for an additional hour for the game.

4. Silver Spring Citizens Advisory Board: The Silver Spring Citizens Advisory Board will hold its regular scheduled session today at 7 p.m. at the Civic Building in Silver Spring.

5. Ramadan Begins: Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting, begins today. Adults fast from dawn until sunset to achieve spiritual and physical purification and self-discipline, abstaining from food, drink and intimate relations.
