1. Opening Day: The Nationals season opener against the Reds takes place at 4:10 p.m. at Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park. Originally scheduled for March 29, the game was delayed for bad weather. Play ball!
2. Women’s History Month presentation: Learn about five women who made significant contributions during the Civil War era at Olney Library. The actions of Clara Barton, Julia Ward Howe, Sarah Josepha Hale, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Harriet Tubman led to their prominence during the war, and launched them into successful public roles following the conflict.
3. Egg Hunt: Search for real eggs in Meadowside Nature Center’s meadow, then dye and decorate the eggs using natural dyes. Register, here.
4. Firefighter graduation: The Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service training class graduates today.

5. Meet Speed Skating Olympians: The U.S. Speed Skating Tour of Olympians will be at the Wheaton Ice Arena Saturday, March 31st from 4 to 6 p.m. Meet 2018 U.S. Olympian Thomas Hong, two-time Olympian Jessica Kooreman, and Olympic long-track bronze medalist Carlijn Schoutens.
And one more thing; the home opener for the Washington Spirit takes place Saturday, March 31 at the Marylnd Soccerplex. The Spirit take on the 2017 NWSL semifinalist Orlando Pride
