Five Things to Know for July 31 in Montgomery County

Here are five things you need to know for Tuesday, July 31, in Montgomery County:

1. Seventh Grade Immunization Clinics Continue: As the 2018-2019 school year approaches, Montgomery County is offering free Tdap and MCV4 vaccinations to incoming seventh-grade students at the locations throughout the County until August. Click here for a list of times and schedules.

2. Park & Recreation Month Popsicle Social: Enjoy a popsicle with Montgomery County Recreation and Montgomery Parks in celebration of Park & Recreation month. This event will be held at the Plum Gar Community Recreation Center & Park located at 19561 Scenery Drive in Germantown. The social is free for all ages.

3. Yoga in the Park:  The City of Gaithersburg is offering yoga in the park on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m., at the City Hall Concert Pavilion, located at 31 South Summit Avenue.  Participants should bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket.

4. National Mutt Day: Today is National Mutt Day. This special day was created to raise awareness of the plight of mixed breed dogs in shelters around the nation, as approximately 80% of dogs in shelters are mixed breeds.
