Here’s five things you need to know for Thursday, July 19, in Montgomery County:

1. Talk With Ike: Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will have another of his “virtual” town hall meetings from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Residents are invited to submit questions directly to Leggett before and during the chat online at Live Discussion with Ike Leggett. Questions and answers will be posted on the county’s website during and after the chat.

2. Summer Concert: Sojourne closes out the Bethesda Summer Concert Series 6 p.m. at Veterans Park, at the corner of Norfolk and Woodmont avenues.

3. Yappy Hour: Canines & Cocktails start at 6 p.m. at Kentlands Mansion. The event features a cash bar and barbecue. Leashed pets welcome. No retractable leashes. Dogs must be current on their vaccinations and should enjoy the company of other animals and people.
