Five Things to Know for July 11 in Montgomery County

Here are five things to know for Wednesday, July 11, in Montgomery County:

1. Seventh Grade Immunization Clinic: Free Tdap and MCV4 vaccinations to incoming seventh-grade students at two locations today. The first is at the School Health Service Center, located at 4910 Macon Road in Rockville. The Second location is at the Silver Spring Health Center, located at 8630 Fenton Street on the 10th Floor.

2. Town Hall Meeting:  The National Hispanic Council on Aging (NHCOA) will host its Regional Conference: Building Bridges to Engage Diverse Communities. This regional convening connects older adults and caregivers with local elected officials, providers, and stakeholders to ensure their needs and concerns are voiced in an attentive, receptive and safe environment. The meeting will take place at the Silver Spring Civic Building and begins at 9 a.m.

3. Free Movie for Seniors: Learn about crime and safety trends impacting senior citizens in the Montgomery County area. This free informational event will concentrate on awareness, prevention strategies and tips for safety, security and well-being of senior citizens. The movie begins at 10 a.m. at the Arclight Cinemas, 7101 Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda.

4. Fitness in the Park: Enjoy free fitness activities on the second Wednesday of each month in Gaithersburg near the intersection of Ellington Bouelevard and Crown Park Avenue.
