Here’s five things to know today, Tuesday, Jan. 23, in Montgomery County:

1. Prescription Drug Affordability: The Montgomery County Council is expected to vote on a resolution to support prescription drug affordability in the county at its regular scheduled session.

2. Closing Early: The County’s Health and Human Services Office of Eligibility and Support Services’ (OESS) programs will close at 2 p.m. today.

3. MCPS Facilities Planning: The Board of Education’s Policy Management Committee will meet to address changing enrollment patterns and plan for future MCPS facilities.

4. Young Adult New Orientation: WorkSource Montgomery is hosting a free training and job placement program for out-of-school youth between the ages of 16-24.
