1. Planners Meet: The Montgomery County Planning Board meets at 9 a.m. at their Silver Spring offices at 8787 Georgia Ave. Among the topics will be County Executive Ike Leggett’s savings plan. Here’s the full agenda.
2. Ready for College: Gaithersburg High School has its College and Career Readiness Night, which starts at 6:30 p.m. The event is for sixth- through 12th-graders.
3. TED Talks: Clarksburg High School has a day-long TEDxYouth Initiative that includes talks from NBC4’s Aaron Gilchrist and Dr. Nadia Hashemi, a pediatrician seeking a seat in Congress. The event begins at 7:45 a.m.

4. Future Rockville: The city is continuing work on its update to the 2002 Comprehensive Master Plan. Rockville 2040 will result in updated policies on land use, the environment, transportation and other issues. The first community meeting starts at 7 p.m. at Rockville City Hall.
