Five Things to Know for Jan. 10 in Montgomery County

Here’s five things to know today, Jan. 10, in Montgomery County:

1. General Assembly:  Maryland’s General Assembly begins today at noon in Annapolis.

2. Narcan Training:  Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manger is expected to speak about the opioid epidemic in Montgomery County at a narcan training course.

3. Budget Hearing: A hearing on the superintendent’s recommended FY 2019 Operating Budget will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Carver Educational Services Center Auditorium, 850 Hungerford Drive in Rockville.

4.  Josiah Henson Park Project: Friends of White Flint and Montgomery Parks are holding a joint community meeting so residents can learn more about Josiah Henson, this facility, and their plans for the future.

5. Commission on Children and Youth: The Commission on Children and Youth meets on the second Wednesday of each month. See its full schedule here.
