Happy Friday! Here are five things to know today, Friday April 6 in Montgomery County:
1. Film Screening: The sixth annual Bethesda Film Fest brings five short documentaries to Imagination Stage with three screenings.
2. Application deadline for summer recreation jobs: Friday, April 6 is the deadline for teens and young adults to apply for the recreation department’s summer TeenWorks employment program.
3. Go Green: The county will distribute free backyard compost bins at Meadowside Nature Center in Rockville from 4 to 7 p.m.

4. Yappy Hour: A free family-friendly social gathering for dogs and their owners takes place Friday at the Lawton Community Center outdoor patio in Chevy Chase from 5 to 7 p.m.

5. Last of the egg hunts: Spring Eggstravaganza takes place Saturday, April 7 at the Clara Barton Rec Center; register here. Another option is Bunnyland at Butler’s Orchard in Germantown which is open Saturday and Sunday, April 7 & 8.
