First Election Day Results for County Races

The first Election Day results have been released in Montgomery County and it is showing some tight races in the Montgomery County School Board.Live Election Coverage 450x280

Shebra Evans leades Jill Ortman-Fouse by about 300 votes for an at-large seat on the board. Challenger Kristin Trible has 44 percent of the vote against incumbent Judy Docca’s 55.02 percent.

Not as close of a race is in the District 3 school board seat where Patricial O’Neill has 62 percent of the vote so far against challenger Laurie Halverson’s 36.7 percent. Also pulling ahead is Mike Durso with 58.7 percent of the vote is looking to retain his district 5 seat on the board against Larry Edmonds who is showing 40.8 percent of the vote.

The Montgomery County Council at-large incumbents March Elrich, Nancy Floreen, George Leventhal and Hans Riemer each have strong leads against their Republican and Green Party challengers.

And, County Executive Isiah Leggett hold a commanding lead against Republican challenger Jim Shalleck, 61.67 percent to 37.98 percent.
