UPDATED: Firefighters Battling Blaze at Chevy Chase Crest Condos
UPDATED, June 9, 12:15 p.m.- Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesman Pete Piringer says about six families will likely be displaced by the fire at the Chevy Chase Crest condominiums today.
Piringer said no one was injured and the fire is out.
Original – Several homes have been evacuated in the 1700 block of East West Highway as firefighters battle a blaze at the Chevy Chase Crest condominiums.
According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesman Pete Piringer, the fire is in the attic of the building. East West Highway is closed to traffic near between 16th Street and Sundale Road.
