
Firefighters Battle House Fire in Damascus
Montgomery County firefighters are at investigating what ignited a house fire in the 9400 block of Watkins Road in Damascus.
Fire and Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said there was heavy smoke in the house upon the firefighters’ arrival. He said the fire is under control, and paramedics are evaluating one person who was at the house.
There are road closures in the area because of the fire department’s activity.
So far, no word on what sparked the blaze.
