Firefighter Injured at Apartment Fire in Rockville, Four Families Displaced
Four families have been displaced by a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex today on Congressional Lane in Rockville, according to a Montgomery County fire official, who said a firefighter was also injured battling the blaze.
Fire and Rescue Services Spokesperson Pete Piringer said the firefighter’s injury is not life threatening. Piringer said two children are also being evaluated for smoke exposure.
According to Piringer, smoke and fire were showing when the first units arrived at the scene.
Piringer said the fire caused an estimated $150,000 in damages. He said the cause of the blaze has been ruled accidental.
