Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Damascus

Montgomery county policeUPDATED Montgomery County police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. on March 15 in Damascus.

Police said the accident happened in the 6900 block of Annapolis Rock Road.

According to a police account, a 2005 Mercedes-Benz ML500 (SUV) was traveling eastbound on Annapolis Rock Road and was making a right turn into a private driveway. As the SUV was making the turn into the driveway, police said, a 2007 Honda 1000RR motorcycle traveling eastbound on Annapolis Rock Road collided into the back of the Mercedes.

Police said the driver of the motorcycle died from his injuries at the scene. Police said the driver of the Mercedes, and a teenage occupant in the SUV, were not injured in the crash.

Police have identified the operator of the motorcycle as Alan Evans, 51, of Felsview Drive in Laurel.
