Farmers Markets Popping Up all Over MoCo

Montgomery County is home to 23 farmers markets, and from Aug. 4-10, it is National Farmers Markets Week.

On Aug. 10 there will be a Kid’s at the Market where kids can participate in activities, such as DIY jam making and market scavenger hunt at the FreshFarm in Downtown Silver Spring from 9 a.m to 1 p.m.

Starting Aug. 11, Clarksburg Premium Outlets will offer weekly Clarksburg Farmer Markets from 9 a.m to 1 p.m until Nov. 17. 

Shoppers can meet local farmers and artisans check out farm-raised meats and dairy, free-range eggs, produce, fresh-baked bread and pies, local spirits, wine, and craft brews, hand-crafted soaps, candles, and jewelry. It is encouraged to bring dogs and explore the pet-friendly environment.
