Family Displaced After Candle Causes House Fire in Silver Spring
A family of four is displaced after an unattended candle left in a kitchen caused an overnight house fire in Silver Spring.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded to the incident around midnight Friday near the 10400 block of Haywood Drive, near Evans Drive in Plyers Mill Estates.

Occupants, including two adults and two children, safely evacuated the residence, said Pete Piringer, spokesperson for MCFRS. One adult was evaluated for smoke exposure and a dog was rescued from the scene, he added.
Damages total nearly $75,ooo.
