The program was started to help the County’s Hispanic community stay up to date on important issues, programs and services. Since April 2012, 150 guests have  been a part of the show. Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will be the featured guests for the 200th episode on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Since it’s launch, the County expanded the  Montgomery al Día show to include daily news segments, public service announcements and a weekly agenda during a morning show called Calentando la Mañana (Warming Up the Morning), which has been on-air since 1987, according to a news release.

Montgomery al Día is hosted by Lorna Virgilí, who is a spokesperson for Montgomery County. You can listen to the live broadcast of Montgomery al Día every Tuesday at 2 p.m. on Radio America 1540AM.
