Leggett Does the Harlem Shake (Video)

The Jewish Council for the Aging recently celebrated Good Deeds Day with a Seniors Prom in Rockville. County Executive Isiah Leggett visited the intergenerational dance to lead everyone in the Harlem Shake. Take a look.

Good Deeds Day is an international day to celebrate the act of doing good. The day puts into practice the idea that every single person can do something good. Good Deeds Day was initiated in 2007 by businesswoman and philanthropist, Shari Arison, and is organized and launched by Ruach Tova, the one-stop shop in Israel for any individual, group or organization wishing to volunteer, and for any person, group or organization requiring aid.

Since its launch six years ago, Good Deeds Day has attracted an ever expanding number of participants—with thousands more joining each year. In 2012, Good Deeds Day was the biggest ever with 250,000 volunteers in Israel alone, and 28 communities in 50 countries taking part in the initiative.
