Emergency Preparedness Exercise in Boyds

Public safety personnel are taking part in an emergency preparedness exercise at the Maryland SoccerPlex today (May 8) in Boyds.

Montgomery County and Prince George’s County public safety personnel and partnering organizations will be participating in simultaneous Maryland/National Capital Region (NCR) full-scale emergency-preparedness exercises today. They are designed to test how our NCR partners respond and provide for the welfare and safety of our citizens and residents.

Both exercises will focus on a large-scale incident at a public leisure facility resulting in multiple injuries and casualties. They will test the capabilities of Maryland’s Emergency Response System program.
