Elrich: Phase 2 Reopening Likely to Begin Sometime Next Week
Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich announced during a Wednesday afternoon media briefing plans for Phase 2 reopening.
If county COVID-19 data trends continue, Elrich, accompanied by county Health Officer Dr. Travis Gayles and county Emergency Management Director Dr. Earl Stoddard during the briefing, said the next phase of reopening would likely begin the week of June 15.
When that happens, restrictions on indoor religious services, lap swimming, and modified indoor retail shopping would be lifted. Car washes would be open for internal and external cleaning and indoor and outdoor gatherings would be limited to a maximum of 50 people.
Elrich discussed additional Phase 2 reopening highlights during the virtual briefing.
