Elrich Announces Five Operating Budget Forums

County Executive Marc Elrich has announced that he is holding five budget forums seeking feedback from Montgomery County residents about the Fiscal Year 2020 (FY20) Operating Budget priorities.

“This is the citizens’ opportunity to lay out priorities,” said Elrich. “So even if it’s not on my list, I want to hear it.”

Elrich will announce his recommendation for the FY20 Operating Budget on March 15. The County Council will approve the budget sometime near the end of May.

Scheduled FY20 Operating Budget Forums

  • Monday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. – BlackRock Center for the Arts, 12901 Town Commons Drive, Germantown
  • Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. – Silver Spring Civic Building, One Veterans Place, Silver Spring.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. – Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center, 3300 Briggs Chaney Road, Silver Spring.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. – Mid-County Recreation Center, 2004 Queensguard Road, Silver Spring.
  • Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. – Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, 4301 East West Hwy, Bethesda.

Montgomery County’s Government encourages residents to use the hashtag #MoCoBudget20 when discussing the FY20 Operating Budget on social media.
