Economic Development Week (Photos)

Montgomery County has joined the Maryland Economic Development Association and jurisdictions across the state in recognizing Sept. 30-Oct.4 as Economic Development Week.

Montgomery County’s 32,300 businesses employ more than 361,000 workers, including more than 600 businesses that each have more than 100 employees.

At ceremonies on Sept. 24 in Rockville were, left to right: Holly Sullivan and Brian Gragnolati of the Montgomery Business Development Corporation; Councilmember Nancy Floreen, who presented proclamations on behalf of the Council; Sally Sternbach of the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development; and Laurie Boyer of  Rockville Economic Development Inc.
