Durso and Docca Elected BOE President and Vice President, Respectively
UPDATED The Montgomery County Board of Education (BOE) members elected officers at today’s meeting and Michael Durso was elected president and Judith Docca was elected vice president.
Durso takes over as president for board member Patricia O’Neill, who has served as the board president for the past year.
“This is an important time in the history of Montgomery County Public Schools as we face rapid enrollment growth, adjust to new state standards, and plan for the future,” Durso said. “I am honored to be chosen by my peers to serve as president of the Board and I know that we will continue to work together to ensure that all of our students receive a world-class education that prepares them for success today and in the future.”

And thank you to Patricia O’Neill for her service to the @mocoboe. She’s been President five times!
