Duck Donuts Opens in Rockville (PHOTOS)
For those of you who have a sweet tooth, Rockville has a new donut shop to add to your places to visit. Duck Donuts opened it’s first location in Maryland on March 24 at Sunshine Square which is located at 1327 Rockville Pike. The shop has over a dozen different flavored donuts with several combinations to choose from.
Duck Donuts was founded by Russell DiGilio and Robin Griffith in 2007 and has locations in Delaware, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia, according to the company’s website. The new Rockville location is part of an expansion phase for the donut shop.
When you arrive you’ll take a yellow order form and a pencil then choose a donut flavor and toppings. Each order is made on site and the donuts are still warm when you receive them.
On average, each donut is about 310 calories for all of those calorie counters out there. These donuts are extremely sweet! My favorite flavor is 
strawberry with vanilla glaze. This time around I might stick to just one donut instead of four, but some of my colleagues were very happy that I decided to share.
