Duchy Trachtenberg Files for District 1 Council Seat

Montgomery County Councilmember Roger Berliner is no longer running unopposed in the upcoming primary election on June 24.

Former Montgomery County Councilmember Duchy Trachtenberg filed her candidacy for the District 1 Council seat at the Board of Elections offices on Feb. 25, which is the last day a candidate can file.

Trachtenberg served as an At-Large Councilmember from 2006 – 2010.

The District 1 Council seat serves the communities of Bethesda, Cabin John, Chevy Chase, Garrett Park, Glen Echo, Friendship Heights, North Bethesda, Potomac, Randolph Hills, and Somerset.
