Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County

Nearly one in every 700 babies born in the US is born with Down syndrome. Montgomery County has a network of caring people focused on empowering and supporting Down syndrome families through education, awareness and advocacy.

Learn more on this week’s edition of Connecting Our Community.  Host Pat Shoemaker is joined by guests, Gena Mitchell, President  of Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County (DSNMC) And  Heather Sachs, DSNMC Board Member and Education Committee Chair. Together they dispel some popular myths about Down Syndrome and discuss the work of the DSNMC.
