Dog Swim at Quince Orchard Park Pool (PHOTOS)

What a DOG splash!

Who let the dogs out? The Quince Orchard Park community welcomed its neighborhood dogs to the annual Dog Dip in Gaithersburg on Labor Day.

We saw some dogs literally running to this event as their owners struggled to hold on to their leashes.

The event signifies the end of the summer swim season and takes place on the last day the pool is open.

These two dogs were getting to know each other on the pool deck.

Many of the dogs got more than just their paws wet as they showed off their swim strokes, and some even showed off the dance steps to Taylor Swift’s latest hit: “Shake It Off.”

In addition to the water play, organizers said there were dog toys (thanks to PetSmart) and dog snacks (thanks to BARK!) for the canine participants at this popular, pooch event.

The sun was shining brightly and some of the dogs – if this is possible – appeared to be smiling while enjoying this once a year event. We even captured a couple of frisky dogs getting to know each other on the pool deck.
