District 5 Council Seat Applicants (Video)

UPDATED The number of people interested in taking Valerie Ervin’s place on the Montgomery County Council is now final. There are 18 people who have applied for the vacant District 5 seat. The applicants include:

7. Ronald Galvin, Jr.
8. Jay Hutchins III
9. Arthur Jackson, Jr.

11. Andrew Kleine
12. Iris Lewis
13. Timothy Male
14. Harold McDougall
15. Herman Taylor *
16. Dale Tibbitts
17. Daniel L. Wilhelm
18. Mark Woodard

* Currently resides in District 5 — will update voter registration from District 4 prior to appointment

The Council will now decide, which applicants to interview. Interviews will be scheduled for 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 at the Council Office Building. Additional interviews, if necessary, will be scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, and Friday, Jan. 24.
