Diesel Fuel Spill in Pike District Causes Evacuations (PHOTOS)
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue workers are on the scene of a 250-gallon fuel spill in the lower level of a parking garage in the Market East area of Pike District.
MCFRS Spokesman Pete Piringer reported the incident at about 10 a.m. Tuesday. Md. 355 between Nicholson Lane and Security Lane in the Pike District is closed to traffic, according to a tweet from Piringer.
Several residents, and commercial buildings have been evacuated. The spill happened in the lower level of the garage and near a hallway of the Kids Klub and LA Fitness.
