Detectives have released the surveillance video of the person who robbed the Thrive Pharmacy in Clarksburg on March 23 and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
The robber, who kept his hand in his jacket pocket, arrived at the pharmacy, at 23213 Stringtown Road, about 1 p.m., announced the robbery and vaulted the pharmacy counter, police said.
The robber then confronted an employee who was behind the counter and demanded prescription medication and cash from the register, police said. The employee believed the robber was armed, and complied with the perpetrator’s demands, police said.
Medication and cash were placed into a reusable shopping bag that the robber brought with him, police said. The robber then fled from the pharmacy on foot toward Frederick Road, police said.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
