Delaney Video Spells Out His Views on Country

After announcing his bid for the presidency, Rep. John Delaney recorded a Facebook video where he says he has “very specific plans” for handling security risks, infrastructure, improved education and other issues. The video doesn’t share any of those plans.

He tells the story of growing up in Wood-Ridge, N.J., the son of an electrician and how his father’s union provided him scholarships to attend college.

He blames President Donald Trump: “Much of his agenda will hurt working families, exacerbate our challenges and miss significant opportunities.”

He calls Trump not a business leader but a business promoter.

One of the benefactors of Delaney’s decision is David Trone, the Total Wine and More founder who has been weighing his political options. The notice on his website teases a decision could be forthcoming:
